By Anne West, Louisa Mitchell and Tony Murphy for Department of Social Policy, London School of Economics and Political Science, UK.

Published in Children and Society (2012).

An academic article on the implementation of evidence-based parenting programmes in a small sample of urban local authorities in England. It presents the findings of interviews with commissioners, coordinators and facilitators of parenting programmes, focused on programme eligibility, fidelity and intensity. It found that implementation was not necessarily in line with policy or guidance and makes proposals for policy changes in an environment of funding cuts, as wells suggestions for future research.
